How To Save Your Marriage

God Must Be At The Center

Marriage is a beautiful institution, but it can also be difficult.

The choices we make in our marriages will determine the quality of our relationships.

Without God in the middle of our marriages, it is hard to make it to the end.

God designed marriage to teach us how to serve one another, work together to solve life's problems, and share life's blessings.

Marriage is also a time to die to self and selfish desires.

Think of marriage like a rope with three strands.

God's strand is in the middle, and your and your spouse's strands are wrapped around God's middle strand.

Your strand and your spouse's strand are weak and not able to withstand much weight.

So, when the weight of life adds up, your strands can break.

The good news is that God's strand is strong and will withstand the heaviness that comes along with life.

Every one of us at one time or another will come under the burden of a heavy weight.

The question to be asked is this: Is God the center strand in your marriage?

If not, the first step to saving your marriage is to come together and wrap around God.

Here are some tips for making your marriage God-centered:

• Pray together regularly.
• Read the Bible together and discuss what you learn.
• Attend church together.
• Serve others together.
• Put each other's needs before your own.
• Forgive each other quickly.
• Communicate openly and honestly.
• Be patient and understanding.

Marriage is a lifelong journey, and it is not always easy. But when you put God at the center of your marriage, you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way.
